Over the years I have maintained a love-hate relationship with credit cards.

 

When I was deep in debt I loved to hate them, because I was undisciplined and charged more than I could afford to repay.

 

As I have regained control of my spending I find credit cards to be a convenient tool with perks such as cash back rewards.

 

Advanced concepts include things such as taking advantage of zero-percent balance transfer offers to essentially borrow free money (after advance fees, in some cases).

 

Just remember credit cards, like power tools, can do damage in untrained hands.
